Finance Manager

Permanent / part-time / 2 days per week
£35,000 - £40,000 pa pro rata

The Academy of Ancient Music (AAM) is seeking a highly motivated and self-managing individual with a broad grasp of all aspects of finance procedures and requirements, preferably with experience or knowledge of the financial regulation around charities. This newly created role includes preparing statutory VAT returns and preparation of management accounts for the charity as well as general book-keeping and day-to-day finance tasks.

The post-holder will work closely with the General Manager to ensure that reporting is timely, accurate and complete, and all statutory and regulatory deadlines are met.

Experience of managing Payroll and pension (currently outsourced) would be welcomed.

A registered charity, the AAM is one of the world's great classical music ensembles with an illustrious heritage stretching back over 40 years. The AAM presents a series of concerts in London and Cambridge as an Associate Orchestra at the Barbican Centre and Orchestra in Residence at the University of Cambridge, is proud to have close associations and residencies at other venues and festivals, and undertakes a busy programme of national and international touring.
