As our Head of Infrastructure Services you will be responsible for ensuring Infrastructure services meet future demands across all of the Vitality businesses, while maintaining a high level of process improvement including automation and AI. Security focused with a high degree of security design across Infrastructure and application architecture, while managing costs and enabling a team to achieve more with less will be paramount to the success of this role.

Responsibilities as our Head of Infrastructure Services include:

- Responsible for overseeing the stable operation of the infrastructure
- Builds the Infrastructure Strategy, Plans, designs, coordinates and manages infrastructure technology related activities of the organization.
- Works closely with the Chief Technology officer, key stakeholders and Architects to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.
- Contributes to the definition and implementation of IT policies, security policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Leads technical infrastructure projects.
- Design, Implement and manage operating system technologies and Hypervisor technologies including VMWare and Hyper-V & Cloud Infrastructure technologies.
- Provide project status and updates to senior team members and relevant stakeholders in a timely manner
- Understanding of network concepts and experience implementing Firewalls, Switches and Routers
- Design, Implement and manage security solutions, maintaining Information Security best practices.
- Security & design of Infrastructure and Application services
- Design, Implement and manage storage solutions including SAN,VSAN and NAS
- Experience delivering and management of Cloud technologies and the realisation of business case outcomes.
- Group Policy design and implementation, WSUS/SCCM; Storage platforms including SAN configuration, data replication, backup and recovery.

- Delivering complex high value Infrastructure and Security solutions
- Managing infrastructure teams
- In Health and Life Assurance Insurance
- Migrating to Cloud technologies 
- Designing and implementing PAAS / SAAS solutions
- Designing Cloud solutions
- Transitioning into and out of managed service agreements
- LEAN & Agile delivery methodologies.
- Managing teams and Stakeholders across geographies
- Managing, mentoring & developing technical staff
- Building and leading integrated teams from various internal and external organisations across multiple sites with a proven record of success
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related experience is desitable
