Software Manager

Due to internal growth an industry leader is looking to recruit a Software Manager to manage the department and to ensure all deliveries of software project are completed in a concise and professional way. Please see expectation and responsibilities summarised:

Responsibilities:

-          Lead, coach and support the cross-functional team

-          Understand the nature of the projects and what is required to achieve them

-          Design and establish the team either with permanent or variable workforce; hiring, training and supporting them to achieve

-          Maintain a continuous strategy for project improvement

-          Monitor progress

-          Tailor and implement software development methodologies, standards and best practice

-          Carry Out Regular appraisals

-          Define and measure key KPI’s, define corrective actions on measurable metrics

-          Knowledge and understanding of software development life cycles, such as Waterfall, Agile or Rational Unified Process

-          Maintain the necessary project intelligence to ensure cross department collaboration and visibility to key stakeholders

-          Ensure project deviations are addressed promptly and efficiently, minimizing effects on deadlines and budgets

Requirements:

-          Proven Problem-solving abilities, from diagnoses to executing solution

-          Educated to degree level in Computer Science, Maths, Physics or similar field

-          Proven experience in Software Management and Software team management

-          Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

-          Strong background in project management

-          Expert knowledge and understanding of C++, C#, .NET, SQL, PHP, WEB

-          Previous experience as a software developer
