Now’s an exciting time to join Knightstone Housing as we come together with DCH Group to become the largest housing association in the South West, increasing our capacity to provide much needed housing and to deliver great service to our customers.  

We are looking for a full time Scheme Manager to work in partnership with the on-site care provider at our new Extra Care Scheme, Tennyson Court in Taunton. This is a scheme with 66 one and two bedroom flats for people aged 55+ needing some level of care . Whilst the majority of the units are for renting, 10 of these units are being made available for sale.

Your responsibilities will include providing a comprehensive housing management services to our resident to enable them to maintain their tenancies.

Your main tasks will include:

  • Completion of tenancy management plans with residents individually to identify any needs they may have and ensure appropriate help is provided.
  • Management of the building, dealing with contractors and visitors, regular estate inspections, managing tenancy breaches, promoting community events and identifying any health and safety issues.
  • Manage the voids and lettings process to ensure quick turnaround of empty properties.
  • Work with residents to reduce and manage rent arrears.

We are looking for someone with empathy to the needs of an older age group and the initiative and drive to provide a responsive and sensitive service to meet a wide range of needs.

It is essential to have good computer skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to communicate effectively with both residents and external agencies.
