Lecturer / Assessor - Hairdressing 0.8FTE Job Ref: GBM031 29.6hrs per week Salary GBP23,090.98 - GBP30,147.49 per annum pro rata
Main purpose and scope of the post:
We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer/Assessor for Hairdressing to recruit and assess learners for our part-time Day Release Level 2 Apprenticeship programmes and WBL roll on roll off Level 2 and 3 Hairdressing and Barbering Apprenticeship programmes. The role involves teaching on the Level 2 NVQ Hairdressing day release programme or Level 2 NVQ Barbering programme. You will also be responsible for the recruitment of work-based learners, including initial advice and guidance, skills scans, basic testing, completion of paperwork and Health and Safety vets. Assessment and training of learners on NVQs in the workplace.
The successful candidate will have experience gained within hairdressing. You must have a passion for high standards, combined with excellent communication skills and good time management, as effective planning of your workload is an essential part of your learner's success. You must be comfortable working alone and also as part of a team.
