WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR

Due to business growth, an opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Supervisor within an established company in Mansfield.

OUTLINE OF ROLE

A full time Warehouse Supervisor is required to work within our warehouse located in Mansfield. We are a small company supplying specialised animal feed throughout the UK and Europe and our customers have very specific packaging requirements.

We need an enthusiastic individual who is keen to join our team and use past experience to submit ideas and suggestions to ensure we have an efficient operating warehouse.

This is an excellent and rewarding position for those that have warehouse supervisory/management skills and experience. From the outset this really is a chance to develop a crucial role within the company and make the job “your own”.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all day to day warehouse duties and supervision of other warehouse personnel. They must be confident, positive and have excellent communication skills due to liaising with a variety of internal and external colleagues and customers. They must have a FTL, a current driving licence and be confident to maintain electronic stock records.

They will report to the Operations Manager.

This is a permanent position working 8am-4pm Monday to Friday.

DUTIES OF THE ROLE:

  • Stock maintenance
  • Stock control
  • Maintaining electronic stock records
  • Ensuring all paperwork and records are accurate
  • Goods in and out
  • Warehouse housekeeping and liaison with pest control company
  • Maintaining warehouse climate records (temperature/humidity)
  • Maintaining fork-truck
  • Ensuring all equipment is checked fit for purpose and highlight items for repair/replacement
  • Ensuring goods are fit for purpose and report any loss or damage
  • Propose ideas/suggestions that may benefit the business
  • Ensure all items are picked/packed as per pick list
  • Producing reports
  • The flexibility to work and support in other departments depending on business demand. This may mean customer deliveries or moving stock from one location to another 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

We expect the successful candidate to demonstrate the following:-

  • A good knowledge of Stock Control
  • Excellent attention to detail 
  • Flexible approach to work and the ability to work independently, using their own initiative, when required
  • Methodical and highly organised approach to work
  • Good time management skills
  • Administration skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including email
  • Have experience using Sage systems
  • Positive & proactive
  • A strong team player
  • Presentable
  • Ability to produce effective and informative reports

REMUNERATION:

Salary will be £18,000 - £20,000, dependent on experience.
