LECTURER IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING
Permanent - FULL-TIME
Salary: Grade 5 (GBP28,890 - GBP35,112 FTE)
Havant & South Downs College wishes to appoint an experienced and talented Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering.
The ideal candidate will have a strong record of achievement across a range of learning groups, will be enthusiastic, committed and professional. Havant & South Downs College has an excellent track record in mechanical engineering studies and the successful applicant will become part of a dedicated, dynamic and learner-focussed team.
The role will include all aspects of teaching and assessment on a variety of part-time and full-time courses across levels 2 to 4.
Ideal applicants will have an existing recognised teaching qualification and a minimum of three years industrial experience in mechanical or manufacturing industry. Applicants from industry without teaching qualifications will be considered. Practical application of workshop skills including milling, turning and CNC machining are desirable for this role. A working knowledge of apprenticeships would also be desirable as would an assessor qualification (A1, D32/33 or equivalent).
