Job Description

The role will have overall control and responsibility for all financial aspects of the UK business and report to the Country Manager with a dotted line into the Global CFO.

Key accountabilities will be:

  • Driving the annual budget process and the monthly reporting
  • Proactively managing the businesses cash flow in a leveraged environment
  • Establishing internal control processes required to manage and grow the business
  • Manage of the companies tax strategy
  • Responsibility for submission of annual financial accounts and tax returns
  • Managing the year-end audit
  • Developing good relationships with banks, board of director, auditors, suppliers
  • Strong stakeholder management, supporting the senior leadership team in decision making and business strategy
  • Involvement in structuring, negotiating and finalising tenders alongside the procurement and operational teams
  • Driving increases in gross profit
  • Leading and developing the Finance team

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate for the FD role will have a solid track record in a similar senior finance role and possess the following attributes:

  • Qualified accountant ACA, CIMA or ACCA with significant PQE
  • Have had experience of being a "hands on" leader
  • You will have strong financial and commercial acumen, someone who thinks strategically, analytically and takes a proactive approach to finding effective solutions.
  • Enthusiastic, driven and self-motivated personality with the ability to work in a fast paced, growing business
  • Experience of successfully collaborating with a wide range of non-finance leaders, some of which who will be based remotely
  • Strong IT skills
