Technical Designer

This company is the leading global developer and producer of Family Entertainment Centres and Adventure Parks. Their company is expanding quickly and developing into new and exciting areas. To ensure the continued success of the company, they need to strengthen their Team by appointing a Technical Designer.

The position will be based in our UK office at their main Factory in Wrexham.

The role
You will provide technical expertise for the design department and work directly with their production team to enhance and test new and existing products. You will be proficient at producing technical drawings and have experience of handling various materials. You must be willing to work within the factory to test products to relevant Industry Standards.

- Generate new product ideas
- Create detailed 3D models and high quality renderings
- Produce detailed technical drawings for manufacture
- Produce internal and external marketing material for the release of a new product

Your experience
- 2 or more years of experience as a 3D designer or technical designer
- A relevant qualification in product design or technical design discipline, or proven work experience in this area
- A sound understanding of manufacturing processes and materials, particularly plastics, wood and metal
- Proven experience producing manufacturing drawings
- Have the ability to work to and standards.
- Experience producing 3D models and high quality renderings
- Excellent skills in AutoCAD and 3DS Max. Other 3D modelling experience would be an advantage
- Experience using Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign
- Experience of design for children's playgrounds would be an advantage
