Our client is the largest independent Builder’s Merchant in the UK with a network of over 50 branches.  With ambitious growth plans in place, they are now looking to strengthen their Business Development team to work with their branches to achieve sales and margin growth within their roofline product range, which is an area of the business with brilliant potential for growth.

At their Peterlee Branch, they are currently looking to recruit two Sales Advisors, one in Plumbing and Heating and the other in Building Materials and Timber.

As a Sales Advisor, you will play a key role in the sale of our full range (either plumbing and heating products, or building material and timer products) and will be responsible for the following duties:

• Providing quotations for customers
• Purchasing materials and managing stock levels for the category
• Dealing with customers both face to face and over the telephone
• Giving excellent customer service and sound product advice
• Taking a proactive approach to your categories sales, using every opportunity to make or increase a sale.

With strong product knowledge in either required category, you will have previous sales experience within a builder’s / plumber’s merchant environment. Computer literate, you will confidently deal with customers face to face and over the phone, having the ability to build great customer relationships, with excellent communication skills.
