Your Role: 

As a Laboratory Assistant, you will be tasked with carrying out testing on final products and raw materials to ensure quality and suitability in line with European Standards and in-house test methods. 

Specifically, your role will involve: 

- Preparing and grinding raw materials including clay, fuel and sand 
- Creating samples of materials for testing 
- Completing the physical testing of fired products including compression, water absorption and durability 
- Undertaking instrumental chemical analysis testing 
- General laboratory work as directed 
- Data input to maintain records 

About You: 

To be considered as a Laboratory Assistant, you will need: 

- Knowledge of analytical techniques 
- A good understanding and familiarity with the use of computerised systems 
- A logical and methodical approach to work 
- The ability to work unsupervised and adhere to deadlines 

Ideal candidates will also have familiarity with working with, and handling, chemicals, however this would only be beneficial to your application.
