The Lyme Trust - Project Worker
JOB PURPOSE
To encourage and assist clients with their social, emotional and psychological needs.
To ensure the health and safety of clients and Lyme Trust property.
To provide clients with activities in a productive environment in line with mental health recovery and maintenance.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
To support clients in all aspects of their day to day living, including emotional and practical care.
To investigate, co-ordinate and action, educational, social and recreational activities for clients.
To complete and review, an individual action plan and licence agreement with the client under the guidance of the Senior Project Workers
To provide the first point of contact for clients and emergency services in a crisis or emergency situation in the absence of a Senior Project Workers
To provide 24 hour cover where necessary
To take part in the On-Call and Back-Up On-Call on a rota basis.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Suppot
To be the first point of contact for the client
To co-ordinate and participate in all internal and external client activities
To engage in life skills training (cooking, cleaning, finance etc.)
To act as advocate and link worker for clients
To carry out specific client induction period in conjunction with the Senior Project Workers
To keep accurate records of all client contact
To carry out tasks highlighted through risk assessments
To assist clients to maintain their placement via regular contact with them
To contact emergency services or social service duty teams in times of crisis or in the absence of a member of the management team
To seek the advice of the on call management staff as and when required
Health & Safety
To ensure all Health & Safety regulations are adhered to
To assist in regular assessment of the emergency evacuation procedures
To assist in regular fire / safety equipment checks
To ensure the security of all Lyme Trust property and clients through regular checks and patrols
To liaise with outside services in cases of fire, intruders and vandalism
To supervise emergency evacuations
To ensure any safety equipment used is reported
To report any defects or repairs to the Senior Project Workers
Administration
To enforce working standards as agreed through the management team
To monitor quality standards of support
To carry out risk assessments in conjunction with the Senior Project Workers
To attend all meetings which fall within the remit of your role
Other
To carry out cleaning duties as and when required
Any other reasonable tasks as requested by the Management Team
