Residential Support Worker

A leading Education and Children's Services Company in the UK are looking for a Residential Support Worker for a three bedroom Children's home in Tavistock, West Devon.

The service users within the home may have Learning Difficulties including social, emotional and mental health needs and autism. As a Support Worker you will be a key member of the team, providing high standards of person-centred support and care to our young people. Through a creative and caring approach, you will build good relationships with both service users and their families, supporting service users in the planning of goals and in teaching them life skills. Energy and initiative is vital for the role.

Hours: 37 and 45 hour contracts available. The role does include some evening and weekend work.

Salary: After successful completion of the Induction Framework and Probationary period, your salary would increase to £20,000. There is opportunity to progress further under this Framework, achieving a maximum salary of £21,598 expected within 6-12 months.

What we'd like from our support workers:

• Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce or willingness to undertake the qualification in a robust timescale
• Full driving licence
