Embroidery Machine Operator -
Background and outline of role:
We are a small business supplying school uniform and sportswear to schools all over the World. We are now looking to employ an individual to work primarily in our embroidery department.
Our business is very seasonal and as such we are looking to employ an individual on an Annualised contract basis, full time work will be required over the busy Summer months (July-September) outside of these months this will be a part time role. The total annual hours required are 1331, the hourly rate of pay is £8.50 and this will be split equally over 12 months, equating to a monthly salary of £942.00
Job responsibilities are as follows
Pick the correct garments from stock, this will involve manual handling.
Frame garments ready for embroidery.
Check job sheet for information on embroidery design etc.
Select correct design from embroidery machine library and ensure correct threads are loaded onto the machine.
Ensure production meets required standards and identify any issues.
Fold garments as required and locate in correct pick area of the warehouse.
Learn to maintain the equipment, replacing needles and carrying out day to day maintenance of the machines.
Some garment printing will also be required - this involves the use of a small heat press.
Some warehouse work will also be required, receipt of goods inwards etc.
Assisting where necessary in other areas of the operation.
Previous experience is an advantage, however full training will be given.
