The Role: 

As an Assistant Product Manager, you’ll help to develop a range of online information products in-line with customers’ requirements. 

In this key role, you’ll help to maintain our flagship product, B British Standards Online (BSOL), which helps customers manage their own standards. You’ll also support our subscription product, Perinorm, a database that helps customers with their standards and technical regulations enquiries.

Supporting the Product Development Team, you’ll: 

- Produce documents in our house style
- Ensure that customers’ needs are at the heart of our product development and management activities 
- Track product development progress, including monitoring quality  
- Communicate with customers regarding product ideas and features 
- Help to design features, create user stories and wireframe prototypes 
- Discuss products at events 
- Potentially assist with pricing decisions 
- Support the Marketing and Technical Sales Teams with taking products to market 

About You: 

To join us as an Assistant Product Manager, you’ll need: 

- Intermediate MS Office skills, particularly Excel 
- Excellent communication skills 
- A great eye for detail 
- A positive attitude and the desire to learn 

We’re keen to hear from graduates, as well as those with an interest or experience in product design or development. Ideally, you’ll have some knowledge of product development within a large organisation, but this isn’t essential. 

We’re eager to hear from you if you’ve held the title of, or would like to become a, Business Analyst, Product Developer, Marketing Assistant, Marketing Graduate, Design Graduate, Business Graduate or Business Development Executive. 

Other organizations may call this role Product Development Assistant, Trainee Product Manager, Junior Product Designer or Trainee Project Manager.
