Your new role

This newly created role will lead the Centre of Expertise responsible for developing and implementing a talent strategy aligned to the overall HR strategy. Reporting to the HR Director, the role will lead a team responsible for talent in its widest sense incorporating recruitment, organisational capability, individual development, training, performance enhancement, workforce planning and succession planning. Moreover, this role will work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders including Partners, line managers, employees, HR, Finance, Marketing and IT to maximise the talents and strengths of all employees and engage everybody to deliver exceptional client service in the digital age.

What you'll need to succeed

As a Head of Talent and Learning you are expected to have a high level of functional
expertise in all aspects of Talent and Learning. You are intellectually curious and have an
ability to anticipate future trends, analyse business requirements and use your experience
and technical capability to design bespoke solutions to innovatively and pragmatically
meet current and future needs.

You will combine your technical experience with commercial insight, business savvy and
stakeholder management skills as you create, socliaise, influence and gain buy in to your
ideas. You are able to work outside of existing structures and can come up with new ways
of working. You are comfortable operating at both a strategic and operational level and
enjoy both formulating ideas and playing an active role in implementing them.
You are a role model and truly "walk the talk". As an experienced leader, you can
demonstrate building and developing high performing teams empowered to deliver your
vision. You are self-aware and understand how you have consciously adapted your style
according to the needs of others.

You have experience of working in the "Ulrich Model" and understand the different roles
and responsibilities of the three areas of HR. You can show how you have worked together with HR Business Partners to deliver an organisation's goals and maximised transactional efficiency and effectiveness through a centralised service centre. In addition:

* A desire to embrace and drive change whilst identifying and implementing process improvements and demonstrating best practice.
* Client focused with an understanding of how to make ideas practical and relevant; and how to manage and influence internal relationships effectively.
* Project management experience with ability to scope, plan, implement and evaluate Talent and Learning interventions effectively.
* Creative and innovative with a passion for generating new ideas and challenging the status quo.
* Solution-orientated, persistent, emotionally resilient and determined whilst remaining diplomatic and patient.
* A collaborative, team player with an enthusiastic, can do approach.
* Commercially aware, intellectually curious with a strong understanding and opinions of the economic and business environment and market trends
* Articulate, with excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to listen to and engage with people at all levels.
* Strong IT, digital and social media skills
* Well organised with an attention to detail, an ability to deliver to deadlines and to prioritise effectively.
