Contracts Manager

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading specialist subcontractor with circa £4m turnover. They have over 35 years experience in the design, fabrication and installation of architectural metalwork for the construction industry. Their range of products includes architectural metalwork such as Staircases, Balustrades' Handrails, Balconies, Platforms, Walkways and Canopies.

This company have a friendly working environment with excellent prospect and security. They are looking to recruit a Contracts Manager to work within an existing team of 3 Contract managers in co-ordinating and managing contracts from order through to completion.

Your role will be varied and involve:

- Full responsibility for the completion of contracts to the client's satisfaction within contract set budgets and program
- Preparation of Methods Statements and Risk Assessments
- Site visits and progress meetings
- Budgetary control
- Developing and maintaining good customer and inter departmental relationships

Skills and Experience:

You must
- Have good working knowledge of the construction industry
- Be able to read and understand construction drawings
- Be able to identify variations to contractual supply
- Be able to organise you own work and project manage effectively
- Be computer literate and familiar with Microsoft office
- Hold a current driving licence

It would be highly beneficial if you
- Have a basic knowledge of contractual commercial conditions
- Have steelwork fabrication background & experience
- Have a SMSTS card
