Software Tester/Test Analyst

This company is creating a brand-new Software Testing team at their main Nottingham offices.

They have recently (like this week!) had a new Testing Team Manager start with them, and they plan to build a team of automation and manual test specialists around him.

They have a genuinely fun and stretching work environment here. Their minds are open to the automation tools they use and the test processes they put in place. It's a great time to join them and be a part of that discussion and project, whilst also getting your hands dirty creating automation scripts and manual testing their current and new software.

You may be a Senior and heavily experienced Test Specialist, a mid-level Test Analyst or it may be that you are recently out of university with a year or so of software test experience. Either way, they'd be keen to hear from you and talk about both their Test team and their business.

Responsibilities will include:
- Creating and executing test scripts in close collaboration with the development team
- Creating and executing automated regression test scripts
- Facilitating the execution of user acceptance testing
- Creating and manipulating data for use in multiple platforms.
- Liaising with stakeholders to resolve defects

Desired Skills and Experience

This role would suit an enthusiastic individual who:
- Has significant automation experience, in a commercial environment. They use TFS for much of their automation testing and Selenium for front end automation.
- Will have web-based testing experience
- Will have experience in creating manual and automated test scripts
- Will have experience of using SQL to interrogate, create and update data
- Will have experience of creating structured, repeatable, replicable testing
- Will have knowledge of data warehousing, web platforms, e-commerce and CRMs
- Preferably has ISEB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing or ISTQB-BCS Certified Tester Foundation Level
