Technical Trainer

Biosite Systems has a unique opportunity available for a Technical Trainer / Technical Author to join the team in Solihull close to J4 of the M42. The role is a full time, permanent position offering a competitive salary depending on experience.

Biosite Systems has grown rapidly in its first six years of trading and now employs over 50 people. Based in Solihull/Birmingham, the company has been focussed on developing sophisticated and innovative software and hardware solutions for a variety of markets. Following the continued expansion of the business we are seeking a full time in-house Technical Trainer / Technical Author to educate our staff and customers about our products.

Your will report to the Head of Engineering, who is currently responsible for producing technical documentation and providing training.

Key responsibilities of the Technical Trainer / Technical Author

- Creating, maintaining and issuing product documentation.

- Creating, maintaining and delivering product training material for internal and external training.

- Providing regular training to new and existing staff.

- Maintaining training records for internal training and external training.

Skills, knowledge and experience required by the  Technical Trainer / Technical Author

Essential

- Excellent English, communication skills and attention to detail.

- Well organised and punctual.

- A people person with plenty of patience for training a variety of personalities.

- Practical experience of electrical installations.

- Experience and a passion for the LaTeX document preparation system.
