Category Manager - Marketing - 13 month FTC

We are working with a major global financial services organisation who is seeking to appoint an experienced Category Manager who ideally possesses marketing category experience???

Do you possess significant non-IT indirect sourcing experience? Ideally you will have already worked in a marketing procurement role, however, you might also have experience of a number of categories across Corporate and Professional Services (Legal, Print, HR, FM etc.)

We require a Category Manager with first-class stakeholder and supplier engagement skills, the ability to build credibility and trust at the highest level is critical. You will be comfortable giving presentations and influencing at a senior level in a blue chip, matrix organisation.

The successful Category Manager should be able to take a holistic view of the category and look at spend, sourcing strategy, new contracts, write statements of work and have the ability to make improvements and develop flexible and creative solutions to support business strategies. You must be a strategic thinker with first class negotiation skills, contract management experience and be able to demonstrate the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment. Personality and team fit are key and you will be able to show dynamism, hunger and the ambition to progress your career.

This role is a 13 month fixed term maternity cover contract and will be based on the West Sussex/Surrey border near Crawley/Gatwick. You will also be required to travel to the City of London occasionally.
