Job Summary
We are seeking a part time HR and Health & Safety Manager to be based at the state-of-the-art 650 hectare thoroughbred stud farm. Due to retirement a part time vacancy has arisen within the Newsells Park Stud Office for HR and Health & Safety for 2 days / 16 hours a week. Based in the Stud Office the successful candidate will be a key member of the team, managing all aspects of HR and Health & Safety.
Responsibilities and Duties
The role covers all of the HR function including recruitment, managing all HR documentation such as the company handbook, contracts and offer letters, induction and leaver processes as well as organising staff performance reviews, training and assisting the CFO with the company pension scheme and payroll. The H&S aspects of the role include reviewing and maintaining all H&S documentation, including RAs, SWPs and COSHH documentation, organising staff H&S training and the H&S committee as well as liaising with external HR and H&S advisors. The role will also include other administration duties within the office and liaison with the estate maintenance team.
Qualification and Skills
Candidates should be able to demonstrate experience and knowledge of all aspects of HR and Health and Safety management together with an ability to communicate successfully with all levels of staff. A practical approach as well as a willingness to assist with other administrative tasks within the small office team would be useful. Also familiarity with Microsoft Office applications would be advantageous as would experience within an equine environment or knowledge and experience of the stud industry.
