Animal Management Keeper Opportunities ASKA60189

Our client has exciting opportunities in Animal Management to work within their Wildlife & Conservation Park. This is a new visitor attraction in the beautiful historic arboretum at the College. Their Animal Management facility includes state-of-the-art facilities and is home to the Wildlife and Conservation Park.

They currently have:

2 x full time posts (37 hours) to work Monday – Friday

1 x 0.4 post (14.8 hours) to work weekends

The two-storey building houses lecture rooms, a computer suite and a vet nursing facility as well as a visitor grade attraction including aquatics, reptiles and nocturnal animals.  Adjoining facilities include kennels, a grooming parlour and housing for small domestic animals.

You will be required to provide day to day care and maintenance duties on the animal unit and to assist with the supervision of students carrying out practical experience on the unit/wildlife park.

Practical experience relevant to the Animal Management industry with a range of animals, and supervising groups is essential. One post will focus on working with dogs and cats and the other post will focus on working with a large selection of species with a minimum focus on dogs and cats.       

Successful candidates will require an enhanced DBS check
