The Senior Digital Business Analyst Opportunity:
We are looking for a solution architect who can understand the client’s business by mapping out the business structure, processes and goals. You will be lead discovery workshops with stakeholders, conduct analysis sessions with senior team members at Skylab and collaborate on the creation of an innovative, strategic and commercially viable digital vision that achieves the business goals.
This is an important role that will place you at the heart of the agency, collaborating with a variety of stakeholders, both internal and external. You will work with directors, account managers, project managers, creative and technical teams, as well as clients and their partners.
Senior Digital Business Analyst Responsibilities:
//Commercial Acumen
+ Articulate the business case for a variety of clients who may range from lean startup to large corporate.
+ Think in terms of time and money, with the ability to ensure that all project specifications are appropriate, feasible and can be delivered profitably with the available resource.
+ Be focused on ROI and evidence that our projects or solutions create measurable value for our clients.
//Requirements Gathering
+ Be responsible for eliciting and gathering project requirements from the client.
+ Work with the account management team on existing clients and the sales team on new clients.
+ Be comfortable using a range of techniques to elicit requirements, including surveys, interviews and workshops.
+ Research project solutions by reviewing third-party software, integrations, companies and external solutions. We don’t need to reinvent the wheel.
// Project Delivery
+ Be the key architect for the project or solution.
+ Create detailed technical and functional specification documents.
+ Sign off on a project before presenting it to the client with the Account Manager.
// Collaboration
+ Work closely with the creative and technical teams to produce wireframes, based on reusable templates, providing input on IA, navigation, UI and UX decisions.

What We're Looking For:
You will need…
A proven track record of operating in a strategic role where you have been responsible for identifying requirements and acting as the product owner for your projects.
Evidence of writing technical and functional specifications. You may have previously managed product backlogs, taking a user centric approach using user stories or jobs to be done.
The ability to articulate functional requirements through appropriate rapid prototyping. Techniques might include low and high fidelity wireframes, user journeys, process flow diagrams, HTML mockups or use of software-as-a-service to illustrate a concept.
An understanding of systems and system architecture, with the ability to articulate recommendations to stakeholders through the use of system architecture diagrams.
An understanding of databases and database architecture, with the ability to articulate data structures through the use of conceptual or logical entity relationship diagrams.
Strong process analysis skills, with the ability to document existing business processes and articulate business or process change through the use of business process mapping notation.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to manipulate and mine data to develop insights and recommendations for projects, using business intelligence tools such as Amazon QuickSight, Tableau or other analytics and reporting platforms.
The ability to communicate in plain English and explain technical concepts to non-technical people.
Empathy towards our clients and their business goals and most importantly, empathy towards our clients’ users and their goals.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage conflicting views about a project or the direction of a project via an evidence-based approach.
A thirst for knowledge in terms of industry direction, current and emerging web technologies and best practice. You will attend meetups, conferences, read blogs etc. You will be the advocate for business analysis best practice within the agency.
