Exciting opportunity for an experience Payroll Advisor / Specialist to work for this organisation and manage their payroll from start to finish.

The Role
Prepare and process the monthly UK payroll for circa. 600 employees, including overtime, allowances, new starter inputs, leaver calculations, pension and HMRC reporting;
Monitor the accurate processing of staff appointments, transfers, promotions and terminations
Pay employees by processing calculation of Gross to Net pay and managing the production of payslips and electronic transfers to bank accounts;
Prepare journals and reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave,
Balance the payroll accounts by settling payroll deductions and reconciling and resolving payroll discrepancies;
Provide payroll information by answering reasonable questions and requests;
Comply with legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation and advising colleagues on actions required;
Manage payroll workload to meet operational requirements
Ensure payroll is processed in an accurate, compliant and timely manner
Administer benefit plans
Compile data from payroll sources
Prepare relevant weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports
Prepare and review payroll account reconciliations
Oversee the maintenance of current employee data systems (new starters, changes, leavers)
Support all internal and external audits related to payroll
Interpret new legislation impacting payroll

Essential qualifications:

At least 2 years of experience of payroll in agile, customer-facing, multi-site organisations
Experience of using I-Trent HR/Payroll system
In-depth knowledge and experience of payroll calculation and processing
Knowledge of applicable legislation, i.e. tax, redundancies
Solid financial acumen
Proficiency in relevant payroll and accounting software
