Newquay Town Council’s Facilities Service currently has vacancies for the following:

Full Time Facilities Operative (x2)

These roles are vital to ensuring the Public Toilets and other Town Council owned properties in and around Newquay are safe, clean and fit for the level of usage they have. Newquay Town Council owns and/or is directly responsible for the operation and management of 13 sets of toilets in Newquay and sees them as key assets which need to showcase the Town not just to residents, but to visitors alike.

The Town Council is also in the process of refurbishing a significant building it owns on Mount Wise as well as transferring in, the Municipal Offices and Library buildings from Cornwall Council. Whilst other resources are in place to manage these facilities, it is likely there will be a need for operatives to tend to these assets as well. Operatives will also be expected to clean other assets (e.g. Notice Boards) owned by the Town Council as directed by the Facilities Manager.

Applicants must be available to work weekends and bank holidays on a shift pattern, with the proposed working hours as outlined in the Recruitment Pack.
