Field Service Engineer

A fantastic opportunity has arisen in and around Reading, for an experienced Field Service Engineer to undertake the servicing and repair of medical products within Hospitals and Ambulance Services. Working with this successful, well established manufacturing company you will earn a salary of £24,000 depending on experience and be provided with a company vehicle, plus a range of excellent benefits. You will be based in Reading, with travel in and around the South of England.  

The successful Field Service Engineer will work across hospitals and ambulance services in the South of England area, repairing and maintaining products, serving the company’s client base. Core responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Service and/or repair of all products, rebuilds and testing of Medical Oxygen and suction equipment
• Responding promptly and courteously to customer requirements
• Minimising interruption to customer’s business
• Completion of service reports, documenting products serviced, parts fitted, site visits and maintaining van stock levels
• Representing the company within the field

As a Field Service Engineer you will have a clean driving license and demonstrable experience in a similar role, although full training will be given. You will be comfortable working in an unsupervised and dynamic, service-led environment. In addition, you should possess the following skills and experience:

• Full, clean UK driving licence
• Excellent mechanical skills
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
• Excellent organisation and timekeeping skills
• Ability to work unsupervised and on using own initiative
