The organization is a registered charity that has been providing care, support and advice for over 30 years to vulnerable people across Hampshire and Dorset, giving them the tools and resources they need to live independent, secure and valued lives.  

The Role

The My Time (Sitting) Service is a new exciting venture which is developmental in its nature. The essence of the My Time Support Partner role is to meet with Carers and those they care for to  understand how we can help them with respite and devise individualised personal plans.  By establishing the root cause of their issues, you will be able to develop a clearer and fuller understanding of the situation the Carers and their loved ones are in and ascertain what they need to make their lives better. As the My Time Support Partner you will work with the Carer to implement the plan you devise with them and review progress and the quality of the outcomes achieved.  

About You

As the ideal candidate for the My Time Support Partner you will focus on people’s strengths and what matters to them.  You will have excellent listening skills and be a good communicator, you will also be able to adapt your approach to the needs of the situation and have capacity to show a suitable level of empathy with those you’re working with.  You will feel confident about working on your own initiative and you will have good organisation skillsto work effectively. You will also understand the term ‘Co-production’ and be able to work with the Carers you visit to co-produce their personalised plans. 

Building relationships is a key skill in this role and working in partnership with community agencies to find the best solutions for people is paramount. You will be used to working creatively and meeting agreed timescales. Being passionate about working with people to develop great outcomes will drive you.

Essential Requirements

As a My Time Support Partner you will:

• Have or be willing to work toward a Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care 

• Have experience of undertaking strengths, needs & risk assessments and be able to produce and work toward outcome-focused plans.

• Be able to prioritise your work efficiently, having the appropriate skills to produce plans, reports and maintain administration systems.  Good IT skills would be essential therefore.

• Have the ability to build and maintain excellent relationships

• Be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends 

• Have a driving licences and access to a vehicle to use for work purposes.
