Tutor – English Functional Skills BLUT60158

Formed in 1993, our Client is a leading provider of training and employability solutions.  They are a Prime Contractor for the flagship ESF Workless Families programme for the DWP, and are also the Prime Contractor for two Youth Contracts for the Education and Skills Funding Agency.

They now have an exciting opportunity for a Tutor to join them where you will be responsible for the planning, delivery and development of our Vocational and Functional Skills courses to 16 to 24 year olds as part of their Traineeships and Study Programme curriculum.

As a Tutor you will be responsible for the classroom based delivery of Functional Skills English up to Level 2. Developing schemes of work and lesson plans whilst also contributing to the on-going creation and development of new and innovative training materials and resources, you will ensure all delivery meets quality and performance standards.

They are looking for someone who has a fully endorsed teaching qualification such as Cert Ed, PGCE, DTLLS or equivalent, coupled with an English qualification. With the ability and experience of working with 16 to 24 year olds or challenging learners with a wide variety of barriers from diverse backgrounds, you will have excellent communication skills and able to deliver a high standard of customer care.
