Part Time Experienced Administrator and claims handler

 

Rainbow International carry out work for the Uk’s top insurance companies carrying out fire and flood clean up’s and restoration projects. We also carry out industrial cleaning projects for domestic and commercial customers. We need an experienced administrator to join a small office based team ( based in Cardiff ).

Working as part of a team of 4 people you will liaise with our technicians in the field and deal with your own files and caseload from start to finish. You will be continually dealing with customers mainly by telephone and email.

We are a franchised business and our office covers South Wales and Bristol.

Full training will be given and this is a challenging role whereby you need to be :

Be comfortable working alone and also in a small team.

A conscientious and hard worker

Have excellent communication skills and an excellent telephone manner

An ability to work under pressure and prioritise your workload

Excellent computer skills

Develop working relationships with customers, key clients ( such as loss adjusters, insurance companies, Brokers, surveyors etc)  and our technicians in the field.

Previous administration experience essential.  Experience in dealing with insurance claims an advantage and or planning and allocation of work to field based staff.

Any previous experience of marketing and the use of social media would be an advantage.

A good geographical knowledge of the area as this is essential when planning and arranging technicians appointments in the field.

Be enthusiastic and happy to learn technical information about our services so as to have more service knowledge. There will be the requirement to attend courses and toolbox talks to gain further knowledge.

Hours :  2-3 days per week. 16-22 hours per week to be agreed. There is some flexibility over the exact number of hours and the days worked, which may vary slightly week to week.

We are situated on an industrial estate out of the city centre so your own transport would be preferable.

Salary will depend upon previous experience but initially will be in the region of £ 8.60 per hour. Pay would increase with the experience that you gain and as you develop with the role. Holidays for full timers are 20 days per year in addition to public holidays and increase after year 3 by 1 day per year up to a maximum of 28. These would be pro rata for the part time role.
