YMCA Youth and Community Centre and Camp Williams:

£11,613.75 pa – Average of up to 28.09 hpw

Working in the Childcare Department and reporting to the Childcare Service Manager, you will deliver the day to day operations of the Breakfast / After-School Club at Djanogly Northgate Academy, Edgewood Primary and Nursery School and Camp Williams or YMCA Youth and Community Centre and Camp Williams. You will also plan, prepare and deliver inspired coaching and activity sessions for allocated groups within our YMCA Day Camps.

You will draw on your qualifications, skills, and experience to engage children in safe and enjoyable sports, craft and STEM activities. Day to day tasks will include maintaining records and registers, supervising off-site and on-site activities and administering first aid. Supervising work experience trainees, volunteers, and temporary staff will also be part of this role.

Experienced in leading sports and STEM sessions for children aged 4 to 11 years, you will be dedicated to maintaining high standards, health and safety and other legal requirements associated with play activities. The ability to organise a range of activities and keep administrative records to high standards is essential.

Promoting positive relationships in a fun and safe environment will be at the forefront of everything that you do. You will contribute to the enjoyment and healthy development of children, following Nottinghamshire YMCA policies and procedures and OFSTED National Standards.

You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills - liaising with parents and school staff. Most importantly, you will uphold our core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility in all of the work that you do.

If you are passionate about creating an environment that helps children develop confidence and build friendships and skills, we would really like to hear from you.

As your contribution to the success of our YMCA evolves, we’ll support you with training and opportunities for development. We provide a significant programme of workplace benefits including YMCA gym membership, volunteer leave, green travel loan scheme, and access to support for childcare or transport or health cash plans.

This post is subject to a DBS check at an Enhanced level and registration to the Update Service, (which we will pay for).

Please note we are unable to accept CV’s unless accompanied by a standard application form.
