Digital Marketing Assistant
Location:
Yatton
Role Type: 12 Month contract
Reporting to: Head of Digital
Salary: £25-£29k DOE

Overall purpose of the role

To work with the Head of Digital in championing digital marketing within the business. Engaging customers through creative content, ensuring all visual and written communication across digital channels, is consistent and in the Bob Martin tone of voice.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing relevant content for our corporate site with roll out across our 4 European sites (France, Italy, Spain and Germany), in conjunction with local marketers.
  • Planning/creating and scheduling content across our key social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
  • Advertising relevant content across key channels.
  • Using Google Analytics to monitor, report and analyse results to improve performance.
  • Working closely with the Head of Digital and liaise with external agencies to ensure development projects are delivered on-time and to budget.
  • Assisting the sales team in enhancing our product offering across customers' digital sites e.g. Amazon and Pets at Home.
  • Writing and distributing e-newsletters/key communications to subscribers, when required.
  • Keeping up-to-date with current digital trends and suggesting new ideas to enhance the digital strategy of Bob Martin.
  • Administrative or other marketing support, to assist with the efficient running of the department, as and when required.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level with a Digital Marketing/Marketing/Graphics focus advantageous.
  • 1-4 Years' experience in a Marketing/Digital role.
  • Excellent copy writing and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Highly organised, with an ability to manage multiple projects with conflicting deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, positive and assertive attitude to just get on.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a larger team.
  • An interest in all things digital.
  • An organised and reliable approach to work.

Desirable Criteria

  • A working knowledge of design packages such as Photoshop
  • Experience of working with advertising on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
  • Experience of using website content management systems, in particular Umbraco.
  • Working knowledge of SEO, PPC and Google AdWords.
  • Languages – in particular French, Spanish, German or Italian.
