I am currently working with one the UK's leading Tier 1 banks in Bristol recruiting for a Project Manager to work within the Change Management team as part of the Actuarial Change Function

This role does not involve Prophet coding for model development, but an understanding of Prophet and analysing results in diagram view is important.

Accountabilities

  • Lead a small team to perform release testing activities in accordance with a detailed test plan
    • Gain understanding for all developments in each release
    • Review test results and understand impacts (balance sheet, AoM, new business, sensitivities)
    • Investigate and resolve queries
    • Provide support to junior colleagues
    • Proactively engage with all customer teams to ensure the change lands smoothly
  • Clarify requirements for model change from a variety of customer teams and articulate these clearly to the rest of the team
  • Review and provide critical feedback on (i) scoping documents that contain requirements for model change and (ii) model change testing documents
  • Complete initial Impact Assessments for projects
  • Support projects in flight
  • Contribute to the integration of new/simplification processes
  • Collaborate with other Change teams (e.g. bulks and asset models) to ensure appropriate change is delivered across all models.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Experience of leading small teams to deliver on test plans
  • Good numerate honours degree (first or upper second class)
  • Good knowledge of and ability to apply actuarial concepts and techniques
  • Ability to identify key or unexpected outputs and investigate underlying issues
  • Good Excel skills required (vba not required)
  • Life office experience preferred
