Citizens Advice Chiltern is a well-established, medium-sized independent local charity which provides free impartial advice to people in the Chiltern and South Bucks areas. The charity operates two advice centres in Chesham and Amersham, a specialist money advice service, and several outreaches. We also run a number of successful advice projects, including energy advice and consumer empowerment projects. The charity benefits from a large and dedicated team of highly skilled volunteers and delivers high quality advice to around 5,000 clients per annum, as well as campaigning on important community issues. Our volunteers are led by a small, experienced management team which is headed up by the Chief Officer.

We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and experienced individual to take on the role of Chief Officer.

You will work with the Board of Trustees to deliver our business plan, develop our strategic vision, closely manage charity finances, drive fundraising and provide the necessary support and oversight for staff and volunteers. Our funding is increasingly supported by project funding from third parties. You will be able to demonstrate skills / knowledge of both bid development and operational delivery of successful bids.

The successful candidate will already have a well-developed understanding of the not for profit sector, good communication and organisational skills and the ability to motivate and inspire others.
