PwC is working with clients to discuss the benefits of Cloud-first innovation and how we can help by introducing value propositions appropriate to the client circumstance and trigger events. Client engagement would begin with assessment events and diagnostic tools. Our Strategy, Operations and Technology teams will support these engagements, working with appropriate delivery partner ecosystems.
The goal is to develop proof of concepts and business cases to create a pipeline of opportunities to support clients on a Cloud-first journey. The goal is to reduce IT costs by up to 50%, remove complexity and increase innovation agility for our clients. Typically, they will want to implement a hybrid Cloud to keep options open and prevent vendor lock-in. They also seek to replace ERP installed applications with industry-standard Cloud applications. About the roleWorking with our clients' leadership teams, our Cloud transformation services director will translate our clients' strategic Cloud objectives into executable programmes of work, from strategy through to implementation. They provide leadership for our clients in defining and shaping a successful Cloud transformation programme, by defining a manageable scope of work, developing a credible delivery roadmap, and establishing a sustainable delivery model.
They are used to managing large, joint teams, encompassing the wide range of multi-disciplinary skills required to deliver change through Cloud services: from customer insight and user experience to technology, analytics, security, business change, organisation design, business case design and benefits delivery management.
This role will involve delivering a number of Cloud based services and solutions to our consulting clients across the UK region providing an end to end journey for clients to move to the Cloud, encompassing strategy and business case, target operating model, infrastructure and application transformations as well as operations. The candidate will have responsibility for Cloud solutions, services and go-to-market across the regions helping clients migrate from an on-premise solution to the Cloud, including the optimisation and realisation of benefits from those clients who have moved.
The Director will deliver our Cloud Transformation Services through three phases of work, which can ultimately help our clients to grow revenue, remove complexity, scale globally, and reduce costs. The Director will take the client side advisory role and programme manage the client journey to the cloud ensuring appropriate vendor selection, implementation support and benefit realisation throughout.
The ideal candidate will be able to lead the design and implementation of a Cloud First business case, solution design and implementation roadmap. They will have experience of implementing some and understand client use of the following major application and cloud technologies:

Recognised as a Cloud transformation services leader, through publications, public speaking, client endorsements, etc.;
In possession of extensive Cloud knowledge: from strategy, through customer, brand and marketing, creative, social, mobile, technical, analytical and security domains;
A trusted adviser, with a track record of advising senior executives and company boards on executing Cloud transformation within leading organisations;
An experienced delivery leader, able to help our clients shape their Cloud transformation programme of work with a successful track record of successfully delivering Cloud transformation projects;
An effective team builder, able to rapidly establish and lead high-performing, multi-disciplinary teams, drawn from across PwC, our clients' staff and third party organisations;
Experienced in successful delivery of large-scale, technology-enabled change with a good understanding of the technology domains relevant to Cloud transformation, in one or more industries;
Experienced in working through the business and operating model implications of Cloud transformation on the organisation, and in implementing successful business change;
Accomplished in building effective relationships with third-party delivery organisations through the process of sourcing, selecting, contracting and managing engagements with Cloud vendors;
A confident and impactful communicator, both written and verbal, able to clearly explain Cloud ideas to non-technical audiences, and business concepts and goals to technical audiences;
