Role details Contract: permanent Hours: 14 per week, days and times can be discussed Location: Home start, based at Edinburgh Mobility Team Office Interview dates: w/c 26th March Guide Dogs My Guide Service selects and matches trained volunteers with people who are blind or partially sighted to enable them to work towards their mobility goals. As a My Guide Ambassador for Edinburgh Mobility Team you will act as the champion and technical expert for My Guide services, ensuring that My Guide sighted guiding services are available where appropriate to service users at all stages of their mobility journey. This role will cover from the Scottish boarders to Aberdeenshire and as far west as Stirling, Perth and Kinross. Responsibilities will include; - To act as the champion and technical expert for My Guide within the Mobility Team. - To work with referral agencies to promote the My Guide Service. - To work with engagement colleagues to publicise My Guide services locally. Key Requirements for this role include; - Proven experience of designing and delivering training to an accreditation level - Recent and relevant experience of working within the children/vulnerable adults sector - Ability to manage and motivate staff and volunteers - Eligibility to work in the UK As this role requires an Enhanced Disclosure check the start date for the successful candidate will only be confirmed upon receipt of the check.
