The world's leading provider of travel, expense and invoice management solutions is seeking a Search Marketing Manager with proficient German language skills to help drive a digital evolution at SAP Concur, and deliver measurable results that makes digital a growth engine for our company. Core to this digital strategy is a heavy investment in Search Engine Optimization (SEO), a strategy at the heart of SAP Concur's efforts to increase digital demand generation capabilities and efficiencies.
This person should be recognized in the industry as an expert on the strategy and implementation of SEO. They should be familiar with deploying SEO solutions across multiple countries and cultures in complex, business-to-business environments.
Reporting to Group Manager, Search Marketing, the Search Marketing Manager will drive SAP Concur's organic search strategy globally, focused on driving qualified traffic and demonstrate measurable results. The person will work to increase Concur's website visibility on search engines through instituting best practices for organic search programs.
This person will be charged with identifying new opportunities to drive digital demand for SAP Concur in the EMEA region, by driving the organic digital strategy in each of the almost 10 countries where Concur has presence. They will create detailed marketing analyses and reports with insights and action items to drive the actions of development and marketing teams in corporate and around the world.
This person must have an exceptional ability to sell-in ideas and approaches to land SEO solutions, and must have the analytical, technical and marketing skills to support this influence strategy. Their communication and collaboration skills must be first class in order to drive and implement an effective SEO strategy. They must be a self-starter, someone who can work autonomously yet collaborate with many teams around the world. And they must embrace and champion change and be comfortable with ambiguity.
Responsibilities:
- Establish a strong strategy for SEO that significantly contributes to business results, driving at least 25% of marketing qualified leads that come through digital channels, and growing the organic contribution to web traffic year over year.
- Establish a scalable SEO model that works for markets where there is SEO expertise, where there is general marketing expertise and where there are no marketers at all.
- Develop and implement innovative SEO strategies utilizing keyword research, meta-tags, headlines, competitive web copy and more.
- Optimize on-site content for all global websites to ensure maximum visibility and rankings in major search engines.
- Deliver prospect volume in order to capture leads by landing searchers on the most applicable current pages through relevant messaging and compelling call to actions.
- Implement a robust link-building strategy.
- Monitor and maintain monthly tracking tools for each region and perform website analysis to ensure business goals are met and provide insights and future actions.
- Optimize website source code for search engines.
- Research, report on and address search engine algorithm changes.
- Develop an understanding of SEO across all marketing and relevant engineering groups through evangelizing best practices and relevance of SEO to delivering business results.
- Collaborate with the SEO counterpart (based in US) on implementation of global SEO strategy.
Qualifications:
- BA required with focus in Marketing or Business.
- Significant SEO experience in a corporate business-to-business environment.
- Bilingual English/German speaker highly preferred
- Understands SEO best practices and emerging trends, including knowledge of search engine ranking factors and algorithm updates.
- Knowledge of HTML, CMS, CSS and website administration.
- Experience with BrightEdge, Adobe Analytics, Tableau, Drupal, Moz, Google Analytics/Adwords.
- Familiarity with localization processes and best practices.
- Excellent cross-group collaboration skills, and ability to influence other technical and non-technical groups through different communications strategies.
- Strong written and verbal communications.
- Ability to work autonomously; produce work in a timely manner with extensive project management skills.
