Do you have a strong background in woodwork or metalwork? This famous museum in South Kensington is world-renowned for its historic collections, awe-inspiring galleries and inspirational exhibitions. They are seeking an enthusiastic experienced and capable Museum Technician with a specialism in woodwork, mount-making or metal work who wants to be part of their ongoing success.

You will be responsible for designing, manufacturing and finishing of bespoke mounts in metal, Perspex, or wood, to allow them to display their world-class collections for their visitors. This will involve close working with conservation colleagues on Museum objects to create bespoke mounts. You will also undertake daily switch-on and exhibit repairs. They can offer training on how to run their working objects for the public, such as steam engines (Burnley Mill Engine) and mechanical loom.
