To propose changes to working practices and dispensing techniques that will maximise the potential for efficiency and safety in order to reduce waiting times while working in the dispensary. Ensuring that the drugs and medicines are prepared efficiently, accurately and safely according to legal requirements, and respecting patient confidentiality at all times. Advises health care professionals on the selection and appropriate use of medicines. Checks that recommended doses are not being exceeded and that instructions are understood by patients. Controlled Drugs Cabinet and Controlled drugs are stored, maintained and dispensed as per the legal requirements and local policies. Liaises with other professionals regarding the development manufacturing and testing of drugs. Ensures that drugs and medication are in good supply and are stored properly. Ensure all dispensary Services staff are trained in customer care and adhere to the highest principles of customer services when dealing with patients, staff and the public.
