Deputy Manager - Isle of Wight

Location: Isle of Wight, Hampshire
Salary: £20-£25K depending on experience

The home is registered for adults with dementia and/or physical disabilities.

As the deputy manager of the home you would report to the registered Care manager. You will monitor service provisions to ensure full compliance with all legislation in line with organisational, regulatory and legal requirements. You will have a working knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act (MCA), Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) and Safeguarding Frameworks and will assist the manager to achieve and maintain a 'good' CQC rating.

You will work with and mentor the team to ensure that the home delivers high quality, person centred care to our residents. You will have a good working knowledge and understanding of care planning and be computer literate, and have experience in leading a team of staff and of ensuring the health and wellbeing of both residents and staff.

You will have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and strong organisational time management and planning skills; and have the ability to address and respond to employee issues in a fair and consistent manner. As the Deputy you would also be responsible for building and maintaining good relationships with residents, their families and members of multi disciplinary teams.

Potential candidates will need to have a clear understanding of the Fundamental Standards and a good understanding of the Care Act.

Qualifications required:

* Minimum of NVQ3, ideally working towards Level 5 Diploma
Required experience:
* Supervisory role in health and social care
