We are looking to recruit a Client Coordinator to work with new and existing clients within hospitals and community settings to promote Penny Brohn UK services in order to reach people affected by cancer.

Salary: £24,000 - £25,000 pro-rata, per annum
Contract: Part-time, permanent
Location: Externally based within the Bristol and surrounding area
Benefits: 25 days holiday per year (pro-rata) + bank holidays (pro-rata) + additional days over Christmas and New Year period


The Client Coordinator will work with patients and families affected by cancer, referring where appropriate to the services offered by the Charity. The post-holder will develop relationships with health and social care teams across the Bristol and surrounding areas in locations such as BHOC, RUH Bath and Weston-Super-Mare. The key aim is to raise awareness of the services and support offered by the Charity in order to increase client referrals enabling the charity to help more people to live well with the impact of cancer.

The post-holder will have a regular presence at hospitals as well as hosting information stands at Health and Wellbeing events and attending local stakeholder meetings. 

Candidates should have experience of working with people with cancer or other long term health conditions, as well as working in a healthcare or community setting. They will have the ability to develop and maintain relationships with partnerships and stakeholders and have good communication skills. The ability to listen and adapt to the needs of clients is paramount. This is a challenging role and requires someone who will be comfortable with clients who are at different stages of their illness and can demonstrate robust and resilient coping strategies.
