Salary: £33,525 - £37,738 per annum plus excellent benefits
Hours: 36 hours per week (Permanent)

The West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) is comprised of 18 local authorities and four Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) working together to move powers from Whitehall to the West Midlands and our locally elected politicians, who know this region best. Individual councils will still deliver services and retain their identity but on the big decisions we will have the resources to work together.

Transport for West Midlands, part of the West Midlands Combined Authority, is looking for a talented individual to join our Swift Team, as an Innovation Lead, helping the further delivery and diversification of the most comprehensive multi-operator smart ticketing programme in the United Kingdom outside of London.

The Swift Smartcard Programme has had enjoyed considered success across public transport and as such is now seeking to diversify into private transport such as parking, cycle hire and taxi payments; and also into areas outside of transport such as integration with Leisure and Library card systems.

The successful applicant will be asked to work closely with key stakeholders to promote the wider vision for Swift to define, secure and deliver innovation projects such as those mentioned above. Therefore, we are seeking an individual who is able to demonstrate a successful track record in securing and delivering innovative projects in a fast moving technology environment.

This is an exciting position within the Swift team that will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to work on multifaceted technologies with a highly skilled team to deliver innovative solutions that will improve the lives of the 2 residents of the West Midlands.
