HR Ops Manager??? role with huge potential.

Job Title: HR Mananger

Location: Bedford

Salary: GBP35,000 + benefits

Contract type: Permanent

We think this is a fantastic time to join this evolving business???

Our client has a well-established name and strong family values, it really looks after its people, this certainly doesn't make it a stuffy, corporate environment though, they continually innovate. You would have the opportunity to join a great HR team, they they work hard but have great camaraderie and make work fun. They are also very refreshing and are willing to bring in someone with a mixed Operations and HR/People background who really wants to specialise in HR, so you will get to learn lots on the job providing you are ambitious, driven and flexible!

What will be keeping you busy?

This could be as broad as it is wide. The business is growing, HR needs to grow with it, it is also changing so new concepts in operations means new concepts in HR. Whilst the Head of HR will undertake much of the strategic work, she really needs a right-hand person who will translate some of these needs into actions. You will be a real doer.

Your aim is to provide an effective HR service both directly and through coaching and supporting managers and teams to make this business a great place to work.

You will support the recruitment for new site openings at management level, then supporting those managers in hiring their team. You will support them with people issues, policy and process, using the HR system, talent planning, employee engagement, people development and performance.

This is not a regional role but some ad-hoc travel is to be expected as you run projects, coach and support site managers.

Who are we looking for?

You will have experience in the hospitality or retail sector, ideally you will have been in an operational role so you understand the business, perhaps you have been the HR champion and now want to take your HR experience to the next level. You will have gained knowledge and experience in recruitment, employee relations and training and development in the sector. We do expect you to have undertaken relevant HR study, perhaps to level 5 CIPD or close to.

You will be creative, be able to think on your feet and will need to have a very flexible approach as your role is likely to evolve and change, you may also need to step in outside of standard office hours. If you can demonstrate the ability to lead projects and a natural flair for coaching others and you just want that opportunity to specialise in HR, this could be the role for you.

Sound good? Why not apply and we can tell you more about this great business.
