Come and join us as a Senior PMO Manager for a Top Employer in the UK for one of our largest public sector programmes in Scotland.

Your future duties and responsibilities: As the Senior PMO you will manage the PMO team and be responsible for all financials, governance and resourcing). A key component of the role will focus on Financial Governance and managing the finance tower, which involves detailed financial reporting, approvals for monthly Invoices, ownership of the master finance data report and the creation and maintenance of finance project plan for invoice delivery schedules.

Another significant component features Governance, which can relate to delivery governance (reporting, project release planning, RAID and asset management), internal governance (account planning, future planning around resource estimations and work orders, Cash Collection updates, step review processes) and client governance (effective management of PMO contract deliverables, act as point of escalation for all PMO issues and creation of resource profiles for work orders).

Finally there may be an element of Resourcing Governance, involving being a key point of contact for flexible resourcing, external agencies, subcontractors, weekly staff lists, rate considerations and managing the improvement plan.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role: To be successful you will need to demonstrate a strong PMO background with particular strengths across financials and governance, with a strong preference for individuals with a track record of working in large, matrix-structured teams.

This could be expertise gained either as Finance Lead or Resourcing Lead role who can demonstrate detailed knowledge of project and portfolio management, account planning, strong numeracy skills, tracking and reporting complex financial information.

You will also be proficient in the use of standard project planning and measurement tools, a strong influencer with exceptional people skills and the ability to inspire others. Particular experience of Team management and mentoring experience highly preferred, along with high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access).
