Graded 'Outstanding' by Ofsted Westwood Nursery provides 48 places for children age 6 months to 5 years.
We are seeking to recruit an experienced Baby Room Leader who is enthusiastic, motivated and holds a NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification. You will be thoroughly committed to offering high quality care and education to a group of 12 babies aged 6 months to 2 years and lead a small team of staff.
This position forms part of the management team, taking a lead role monitoring and evaluating children's development across the EYFS.
Fully committed to safeguarding children ensuring excellent care and education, modelling excellent practice and demonstrating excellent communication skills, you should be able to assist the Childcare Services Manager and Deputy Manager in the management and leadership of a diverse staff team. You will also support the development of staff and work closely with all professionals to involve parents/carers in their children's learning and wellbeing.
The nursery opening hours are between 8.30 am - 5.45 pm, Monday-Friday. Other benefits include a generous leave entitlement; including closure over the Christmas period, a pension scheme and access to many of the University's top quality facilities and services.
This is a part-time role, working 20.5 hours per week, on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.
