The West Locality Mental Health Team has one full time and one part time 22.2 hours vacancies for Mental Health Social Worker/ Approved Mental Health Professional.

The Mental Health Teams provide specialist services for adults over 18. We have three Mental Health Social Work Teams which collaborate closely with health professionals. The team supports people to recover from periods of difficulty with their mental health and for people to stay as independent as possible by providing support that is person-centred which gives people choice and control in their lives.

About the role

As a Mental Health Social Worker/Approved Mental Health Professional, you will also be involved in assessing, coordinating and arranging care for service users with mental health problems, including dementia, both in the community and in hospital.

You will work alongside other professionals, providing a service in partnership with adult care, primary care and secondary care. If you are an Approved Mental Health Professional you will carry out statutory duties under the mental health act.

About you

You must be a qualified Social Worker, who is registered with HCPC. You also must either hold an Approved Mental Health Professional Qualification or be willing to undertake the necessary training to obtain this.

A full UK driving license is essential for this role, and must not have more than six penalty points.
