JOB TITLE: Engineer

WORKING HOURS: Full Time (days) - Monday to Friday
THE COMPANY: Our client has been established in since 1932 and is a world leading manufacturer of surgical blades, scalpels and handles. They supply to a wide range of healthcare professionals such as G.P.s, Nurses and Paramedics along with practitioners in the associated fields of Dentistry, Podiatry and Veterinary surgery.
They now seek an experienced and knowledgeable Engineer to join their team based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire.
THE ROLE: A great new opportunity for an experienced mechanically minded Engineer to join a world-leading surgical blade manufacturer. Your duties will be to provide a hands-on service for the mechanical repair of production machinery which consists of traditional and modern electro-pneumatic PLC-controlled equipment. You will develop existing machines, working alongside the electrical and production teams, as well as being involved in the design, build and commission of machinery and production processes.
THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for the role must be qualified by experience and possess knowledge of engineering principles and the ability to apply them in a hands-on situation. Although full training on our client's bespoke production machinery will be provided for the right candidate, it is essential you have experience / knowledge of manual machining, e.g milling, turning and grinding, together with the ability to learn CNC techniques.
