Technical Sales Manager

Our client is one of the largest and oldest independent Builders’ Merchants in the east of England with fourteen diverse sites. They are able to meet the needs of the professional builder and decorator, and those of their private customers.

They are now looking to recruit a Technical Sales Manager from the protective coatings sector.

This is an exciting varied and challenging role, with the opportunity to join a successful and growing business. The role is to be a senior sales person within the organisation, handling the existing account base, whilst also aiming to secure new business opportunities. You will also play an important role working in partnership with their key suppliers in the category to support the categories growth plan. The overall objective of the role is to grow turnover and profitability of the business.

The role reports directly to the Sales Director. It is essential that the successful candidate has previous experience of protective coatings, with a proven record of achievement in sales. Location is flexible, as this is a home-based sales role. The successful applicant will have proven sales results, gained from tenacity, an organised approach, a high work ethic and ambition to succeed.

You will need to demonstrate a level of flexibility, be able to deal with people at all levels in business and be a team player.
