HUXT Ltd are a multi-disciplinary company in the fit-out and construction sector. We have the capabilities, experience, people and equipment to deliver construction, fit-out, refurbishment, joinery manufacture, and steel fabrication in-house. We are currently looking for a driven, experienced Site Manager to manage our sites in the fit-out and construction sector.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a joinery background, be SMSTS qualified, and experienced in acting as a working foreman/manager on commercial sites. This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly expanding company and play a major part of helping the company grow even further. This role will be site based with UK travel required on a regular basis, only candidates with a willingness to travel and work away from home for up to 2 weeks at a time will be considered.
Main Purpose:
Based on our sites around the UK and reporting into our Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all HUXT tradesmen and subcontractors are working to the Company’s standard procedures and ensuring full compliance with health and safety legislation. Your time on site will be split between management and on-the-tools activities. You will need to have an excellent understanding of the complete building process as you will be driving productivity and quality on site to achieve completion of projects to set targets.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience as Site Manager on Commercial refurbishment and construction projects with contract value up to £3m
- Excellent understanding of construction within the commercial sector, including but not limited to: setting out, external work, structural aspects, interior fit-out
- Professional / flexible manner
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to delegate to staff and liaise with clients
- Knowledge of current health & safety legislation
- Knowledge of CDM 2015
- Good organisational skills
- Must be willing to travel and work away as required
Essential Qualifications:
- SMSTS
- First Aid at work
- Fire Marshall
- Asbestos Awareness
- Time-served trade/NVQ with up-to-date knowledge and experience on your tools
- Full and clean driving licence
- IPAF/PASMA desirable
Package:
Salary: Competitive hourly rates plus Site Manager Allowance, uncapped hours and Van
Location: Nationwide with frequent travel to head office in Hull
