Lead Electrician

HUXT Ltd are a multi-disciplinary company in the fit-out and construction sector. We have the capabilities, experience, people and equipment to deliver construction, fit-out, refurbishment, joinery manufacture, and steel fabrication in-house. We are looking to appoint a Lead Electrician to take charge of all electrical elements on our large commercial fit-out projects across the UK, supervising staff, planning works and feeding back to management on the progress of work.

This role will be site based with UK travel required on a regular basis, only candidates with a willingness to travel and work away from home for up to 2 weeks at a time will be considered.

Main Purpose:

The purpose of this role is for someone to take charge of our small electrical teams on our sites across the UK. The successful candidate will be working alongside our established team of electricians on our large commercial projects in order to drive productivity and provide a point of contact for management and workers.

Essential Requirements:

• Knowledge of and experience working in the construction sector
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a can-do attitude
• Strong communication skills
• Very good people management skills
• Approachable with the confidence to engage with a variety of key people
• Excellent organisational skills
• At least 2 years’ experience in a team leader role in a construction environment

Essential Qualifications:

• 17th Edition Qualification
• Current IPAF License
• Full clean driving licence
• City & Guilds 2391 Testing and Inspection (Desirable)
• NICEIC Registered (Desirable)

Package:

Salary: Competitive hourly rate plus allowances and access to a vehicle

Location: Nationwide with frequent travel to head office in Hull
