They pride themselves in delivering high quality conferences, networking events, award ceremonies and exhibitions. As Events Executive you will be responsible for co-ordinating and delivering these events from beginning to end.
To give you an idea, some of the things you will get involved with are:
- The whole cycle of event co-ordination from liaising with various external suppliers, speakers and attendees, to sourcing and booking venues, audio-visual equipment and event materials, administrating the events email inbox and delivering events on the day
- Being one of the points of contact prior to and during an event to deal with queries and issues from staff, suppliers, speakers and attendees
- Working closely with internal departments to ensure that all briefing documents, agendas and marketing collateral (e.g. tickets, brochures, surveys, banners etc.) are ready for an event
- Monitoring income and expenditure of an event to ensure cost effectiveness and within budget and using their internal event booking and project management systems
To be successful in this role you will have experience of organising and/or delivery of high level conferences, events or exhibitions. They are looking for someone who is highly organised with the ability to be proactive and take initiative. Relationship skills are essential as you will need to manage a variety of stakeholders. Your experience of managing suppliers, negotiating best price and benchmarking costs will also be crucial. You will also be structured in your approach to managing projects and have a willingness to use systems and procedures that are already in place. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint) is key.
